Situated on Awbrey Butte in the more desirable west side of Bend, we offer the classic & comfortable J Astor Suites with private bathrooms and easy access to the river, parks, trails, shops & restaurants. On occasion we plan to gather for inclusive private events, like backyard concerts and wine tastings. We are inclusive in our frolicking and we have a healthy respect for the diversity of others.

FUTURE WINEMAKER
Now I'm laying the groundwork to make wine! To that end, I am currently studying viticulture and enology through UC Davis (online) in the hopes of becoming a master winemaker.
GENUINE PEOPLE
I've spent the last several years getting to know tasting hosts and winemakers, and their wines and trades (and thoughts on life). Aside from the wildly fantastic and emotionally evocative tastes I've enjoyed, it's the genuinely good people in this industry, full of character and dimension, that keep me wanting to explore. Bringing those people together, is the inspiration for my latest project...
This wine industry collective is still in its infant stage, so I/we still have many ways to develop it, with shared wine related resources, learning, tastings, experiences, winemaker introductions, etc. Hoping to do some of that here on the grounds of the J. Astor Suites.
The House
and home of J. Astor Suites
The house and home of J. Astor Suites was built on a half-acre wooded property on Awbrey Butte amongst the towering Ponderosa Pines, Western Junipers and Quaking Aspens.
The shared space on the first floor contains rich wood floors, a brick accented full kitchen and bar, two fire places, a living room and dining area. Our appliances include a built-in oven, a built-in microwave/convection oven, a gas stovetop range, a dishwasher, a refrigerator/freezer with ice-maker, and various other smaller appliances.
The 1st floor exterior includes two wooden deck porches with an outside stone surface pizza oven, and an outdoor brick patio with fireplace, BBQ and three table seating areas. Street parking is always plentiful and available.
The 1st floor interior includes the Brooklyn Suite with a full private bathroom. The 2nd floor interior includes the Park Slope Suite which contains a full ensuite private bathroom.
The Suites
J. Astor
The second floor Park Slope Suite accommodates up to 5 guests with a private ensuite bathroom w/shower and a walk-in closet. Furnished with a queen size sleigh bed, 3 twin beds, a minifridge, a 40" TV w/Apple TV, a DVD Player & library, and access to the rest of the beautiful house.
The first floor octagonal Brooklyn State Room accommodates up to 2 guests with access to a private bathroom and walls of windows to a view of 100+ year old trees, birds, squirrels and wandering resident deer. Furnished with a queen size sleigh bed, a 46" wall mounted TV w/Apple TV, a wardrobe, built-in shelving, and access to the rest of the beautiful house.
